Historical Aerial Photographs of Baton Rouge from 1934

This digital collection of historical aerial photographs of Baton Rouge from 1934 may be accessed in three ways: via a photo mosaic, a 1939 map, or a 1995 map of the coverage area. These aerial photgraphs provide a view of the recently constructed State Capitol Building (completed in March, 1932) and the Baton Rouge campus of LSU (dedicated April 30, 1926). The coverage area of the collection is shown in purple on the 1939 map below.

The images were scanned from original aerial photographs housed in the Cartographic Information Center collection. This digital collection was scanned and presented by Jami Bryan.
